MY EXPERIENCE

L'Occitane En Provence is one of my favorite brands for its quality and the fact that it suits my super-sensitive skin.
The Eyeshadow duo comes in a sturdy cardboard packaging. It has a compact-like packaging with a dual-ended applicator and 2 color pans. The applicator has a sponge on one side and a brush on the other. I personally prefer the brush as it allows for easier and better application of the color, although in this case the brush is quite small and inconvenient to use on a daily basis. For that I prefer to use my regular brushes.
The brush included is more useful when I am travelling and need a quick touch-up.

The colors in this duo are a soft black and a creamy white shade. L'Occitane En Provence suggests mixing the two colors to create a new one. I mixed the two and it turned into a beautiful shimmery grey shade.

The texture of the eyeshadows is very smooth and buttery. The application is even and, the colors don't look chalky. However, due to the extra smooth texture of the eyeshadows, there can be fallout. Both the colors contain tiny shimmer particles, but they are only slightly visible on the eyes.
The colors are not super pigmented and can be built up, which makes it ideal for people who like soft, subtle makeup.

The staying power is decent; it stayed on my oily lids for 4 hours (without primer) before beginning to crease.

I created the below look with this duo.

1. Use the black shade on the outer 2/3rd portion of the eye.
2. Use the white eyeshadow in the inner 1/3rd portion and blend with the black eyeshadow.
3. Use the same white eyeshadow with the spong tip to highlight the inner corner of the eye.
4. I used the black eyeshadow to darken the outer crease of the eye and build a gradient effect.

PROS:
1. Beautiful Colors
2. Smooth Texture
3. Easy Application
4. Blend Seamlessly
5. Buildable Pigmentation

CONS:
1. Fallout
2. Staying power could be better
3. Shimmer might not appeal to everyone
4. Dermatologically tested

DO I RECOMMEND IT?

Yes! For someone with sensitive skin like me, this is a must-have. The colors are beautiful and you don't have to be an expert to use it.
The buildable pigmentation, easy application and blending make it a dream to work with.

OVERALL RATING: 4/5
