Lotus Herbals Color Dew Nail Enamel Swatches & Review

"Tippy Tippy Tappp!
Which Color you Wanttt?"

Remember this game? :D
I have played it a LOT when I was a kid. Sigh..those were the days..

So to bring some fun into my boring day, I decided to play this game on my nails! :P

I'll be showing you swatches of the 5 nail polishes I own by Lotus Herbals.

I love this brand. Why? I have used it's nail polishes and lipsticks and I love their texture and quality.

The nail polish range by Lotus Herbals is Toluene and DBP Free. Which means they are non-toxic.

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is said to have effects that may lead to development and reproductive challenges as well as cancer.
Toluene is a solvent that  may cause dizziness and can be absorbed by the skin and nails.

So based on the above facts, these nail polishes are safe to use and they come in such a huge variety of bright, pretty colors! You will love them! I have 5 more but they are a part of my bridal kit so I cannot open them yet :(

What Lotus Herbals Says about the Product
Lotus Herbals Colour Dew Nail Enamel is Acetone, DBP and Toluene free. Its fast drying so that you don't have to worry about recoloring your nails again and again.

Price: Rs.110 (Can be purchased online at a discount)
Quantity: 8 ML

My take on the Product
The nail polish range from Lotus Herbals offers a wide variety of colors to choose from. So everyone will be happy.
The texture of the nail polish is very smooth and easy to apply. The brush has a long handle which makes it easy to hold and the bristles are nice and long, thereby allowing easier, neater application.
They do not have any smell (thanks to them being DBP and Toluene free) and have a shiny finish.

Some of the colors are a little streaky while the others give a brilliant, smooth finish. It is also fast drying but you need to give some time between coats else you may get indents.

The color stayed for a good 6 days without a top coat and hardly any chipping! Even the shine did not wear off till 4 days. That according to me is brilliant!

All the colors I have used below are 2 coats.

From Left to Right: Rose Petal, Steel Glaze, Ice Cube, Orange Alert, Toffee

From Left to Right: Toffee, Steel Glaze, Orange Alert, Rose Petal, Ice Cube

Rose Petal: A beautiful red with pink undertones which makes it look adorable on your hands and feet and personally I think it makes my hands glow (does that sound weird?)

Orange Alert:  It is a peachy/ rusty orange which looks gorgeous on the hands. It is a pretty and bright color which will add that added sunshine to your day! :)

Steel Glaze: A pretty purple color which is not as shine as Rose Petal and Orange Alert but still very pretty!

Toffee: A mauvish color which would look great when you want to give your nails some color but still keep it subtle.

Ice Cube: A silver polish which is slightly streaky on application but looks gorgeous!

The nail polish is opaque in 2 coats. Except for Ice Cube and Toffee, which are a little streaky, I really like the finish of the other 3. But all the colors are really pretty!
Whether you are looking for something subtle or loud, demure or funky, you will get them all!

Pros:

1. Non-toxic
2. Smooth application
3. Easy to manage and apply because of the long brush and handle
4. Great value for money
5. Wide variety of colors
6. Good formula, opaque in maximum 2 coats
7. Great staying power

Cons:

None really!

Overall Verdict: These non-toxic polishes in a wide variety if colors will be loved by everyone I am sure. And they are totally worth the money! A must try!

Have you tried this range? Did you like it?  Lemme know! :)

Until next time!

xoxo
