L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Shampoo Review

What do you do when you have to go out to a party/ on a date/ at an important meeting/ event?
I am guessing you prepare for it if you have to, decide what to wear, etc. What do I do? I start praying to the Lord that my hair doesn't get a panic attack and acting wild and crazy!
The minute I get to know that I have to go somewhere, my first thought is what do I do about my hair!

Now, my hair type is wavy – curly, dry and slightly frizzy. I have medium length hair which falls a little below my shoulders.
Usually, I wash my hair a day prior to styling it, because by then it’s a little more in control. But what if it’s a spontaneous plan? **panic!**

But not anymore! Because now I have L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Shampoo!
This is one of the best shampoos I have come across..and I am glad because well, it’s not cheap. So if you are on a budget like me, this would be a luxury purchase..something to reward yourself with once in a while J But then again, if something really suits you and its effects are visible, then I think it’s worth every penny, like this shampoo.

What L’Occitane says about the Product:

Gently cleanses as it deeply nourishes hair and scalp. Formulated with Shea Butter, this Ultra Rich Shampoo protects and restructures hair, adding brilliance and shine. Hair fibres are smoothed and the natural oil balance of the scalp is protected.
Price: Rs.1150/ $22
Quantity: 250 ML

My Take on the Product:

L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Shampoo is very helpful in soothing dry, frizzy hair without weighing them down. Since I have curly-wavy hair, they need to be even more nourished for the curls to properly form else it looks like a bird’s nest. But with this product, I never have to worry!
Every time I use it, my hair feels soft, silky and manageable. I also feel that the hair feels shinier after using this product.
I combine it with the L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Conditioner and the combination is just perfect!
This shampoo has a sweet coconut-y, sort of baby soap fragrance. I don’t know why but it reminded me a little of baby soaps when I smelled it and I LOVED it. I don’t like fragrances which are over-powering and extra sweet and this one is just perfect.
Although the product looks like it will be a dense white liquid, it is actually translucent. It also does not lather much but is just enough to clean the scalp properly.
The best thing according to me is that it does not weigh down the product like many other shampoos which claim to control frizz, when actually they just make a layer on the hair which is difficult to rinse out, which leads to the hair having a weighed down look and eventually hair fall.

Pros:
  •         Makes me hair feel silky soft and manageable without weighing it down.
  •         Leaves behind a sweet coconut-y, baby-like fragrance in my hair, which I love.
  •         Does not lather much, which I think means it has lesser amount of chemicals
  •         Cleanses scalp and hair well.

Cons:

None! This shampoo is a MUST TRY for everyone!
