Colorbar Instant Cover-Up Concealer Stick 003 Almond Coffee Review

What is the 1st thing that comes to your mind when you think of staying up late at night..not getting enough sleep..spending the whole day in front of your laptop?

Yes. It is DARK CIRCLES. *eeksss!* The horror or horrors for every girl.

Gone are those days when we were kids and there was no such things as under eye bags or dark circles in the world. Then we hit adolescence and adulthood and bam! Lifestyle changes, exams, work pressure, internet..everything changes our routine and basically just screws it up.
We stay up till late and get up early. I don't remember the last time I got a full 8 hours sleep on a weekday. (I more than make up for it over the weekend ;) )

So, what is the remedy for this?

Well according to the age old 'dadima ke nuskhe' there are several. But they take time. And I am an impatient girl.
Thankfully the cosmetics world has given us this beautiful tool known as a 'concealer' which help us in hiding those signs of us growing up or the stories our skin tells.

There is such a huge variety of the kind of concealers available in the market! Liquid, stick, light/medium/ heavy coverage bla bla bla! Now, I am no makeup expert but still try to keep myself updated. And I did a lot of research before purchasing this one. And it paid off! I love this concealer!

On to the review! :)

What Colorbar says about it
Instant cover up stick gives excellent coverage to instantly cover all blemishes, spots, dark circles & gives a natural finish. Handy to carry & can be used as instant corrector for quick touch ups. Easy to apply, blend quickly, doesn’t smudge and non-greasy adheres to skin for long time. Very soothing, extremely calming for skin and contains anti oxidant to help in fighting free radicals & prevents pre mature aging.

Price: Rs.425

My take on the product

I do not have very visible dark circles *touchwood* so I chose a stick concealer. Plus because I am new to using makeup, I thought it would be best to start with this and then progress to others.
Personally, I love this cute chubby stick! Thankfully the shade matches EXACTLY with my skin and doesn't even show (which is how makeup should be).

It gives light-medium coverage so in case you have very visible dark circles, you may not love it.

Moreover, I chose 003 Almond Coffee which is supposed to be the darkest and my complexion is medium-fair. I am not sure if this would suit the duskier beauties.

The texture of the pencil is very creamy because of which I think this baby will get used up very quickly! Moreover, when I sharpen it, there is more wastage of the product.

Check out the swatches below for more!

Before: The Under-eye pigmentation

After: Great Coverage!

Can you see the difference between both the eyes?

Pros:
1. Great Texture, glides on smoothly
2. Neat and easy to use
3. If you find your perfect match, this is an awesome product
4. Good coverage
5. Easy to sharpen and maintain
6. Blends with the skin and does not settle into lines

Cons:
1. Rs.425 is a tad expensive for this mini stick. But can get it at a discount through online stores
2. Shade selection is limited
3. The product finishes quickly because of its creaminess.
4. Sharpening leads to more wastage
5. Those looking for heavy coverage might not like it.

Overall I think it is a good product to try. I will keep my hunt on for user-friendly and easy to manage products for newbies like me and keep you posted.

What do you think about this pretty little thing? Lemme know! :)

Until next time!

xoxo

I have the pot concealer as the chubby stick one is expensive as a lot of product is wasted while sharpening!
